Devon J. Sutherland

Founder

With over 25 years of legal experience, Devon has been actively involved in the Sumner County legal and real estate community since opening his private practice and Highland Title, LLC in 2003. A dual-degree professional, Devon earned his M.S. in Chemistry from Tennessee Technological University in 1994 before receiving his J.D. from the Nashville School of Law in 1999. This unique analytical background, combined with decades of local practice, allows him to provide his clients with a meticulous and grounded approach to every title closing. Devon is dedicated to making the closing process an enjoyable experience for all Sellers, Buyers, Real Estate Professionals, and Lenders.

When he isn’t in the office, Devon is likely enjoying the Tennessee outdoors. An avid outdoorsman, he has a passion for hunting and fishing. Above all, he is a dedicated family man, happily married to his wife, Edie, and the proud father of two children, Garrett and Emily.

Brenda Huntsman

Closing Agent/ Paralegal

Brenda has been a trusted face in the title and escrow industry since 2002. She pairs over two decades of hands-on experience with a deep academic background, having earned her Paralegal degree from Volunteer State Community College followed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2019. For Brenda, the best part of the job is using her expertise to ensure every client feels supported and confident throughout their journey.

At the heart of Brenda’s world is her family. She is happily married to Loyd and is the proud mother of two sons, Michael and Steven. Her favorite role yet might just be “Grandma” to Kasen, Hadley, and Kyden. When she isn’t at the closing table, you’ll likely find her lost in a good book, exploring new travel destinations, or training for her next half marathon. And during the fall? You can bet she’s cheering loudly for Alabama football.
